Trying to delete one end of link to test a script

I downloaded a script from another post on the forums for checking links (both inlinks and outlinks) (found at https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/forums/html/topic?id=77777777-0000-0000-0000-000014549978&mhq=link%20repair%20utility&mhsrc=ibmsearch_a).  However, I've found it difficult to remove either end of a link without DOORS removing the other end (as it should) so that I can test how the script works.  Does anyone know of a way to remove either end of a link while keeping the other end intact?

The forum  thread you link to refer to a fix of an old DOORS defect:

"The incoming link repair utility can be used when a user encounters the following scenarios, caused by defect #081001OPRDL30456, now resolved with patch number 11395"

A DOORS Link represent a relationships between a source object and a target object. Half a link does not make any sense.

Sorry, if I have misunderstood you question.
